What’s the Treatment to Heroin Addiction?
Question by jane: What’s the treatment to heroin addiction?
I’m addicted to heroin. The first time I tried using heroin was the night I discovered my boyfriend cheating on me. I was heartbroken and devastated. One of my classmates, Mike, offered me heroin. He said that it’s the best remedy for a heartbreak. I tried it and I didn’t like it at first but I found myself wanting to have it in my system again. I became addicted to it and I love the euphoric feeling that it provides. Just recently, I realized how my addiction to heroin affects my family. I’ve never seen my mother so downhearted and miserable. I want to change. I want to give up my addiction but I can’t do it alone.

textbooks say heroin is one of the least physically addictive substances, less than coke, ecstasy, alcohol or cigarettes, so it’s all in the head. If you don’t form a strong resolution you can’t overcome it no matter how many clinics you go to
