I see people saying “get help” at someone who’s depressed (and has no friends to turn to), but what help can they get? And what happens during therapy?

Well, go to a general practitioner to start. I asked mine “Why am I so sad all the time?”. That started a dialogue.

They can get medical help from a psychiatrist for thier illness. From a therapist they can learn how to help themselves overcome the obstacles that are in thier way of happiness. Most importantly the person has to learn how to help themselves. Good luck and God Bless
