Could I Have an Eating Disorder?

Question by califbornian: Could I have an eating disorder?
I’m a lil over weight, but I know I look good. I have a loving fiancee’ but lately I’ve had a loss of appetite. I didn’t notice until my fiancee’ mentioned how I haven’t finished my dinner in the last 3 months everytime we go out. I’ve started to by low calorie snack packs, without even noticing. Could I be unconciously worried about my weight. Some days I go over 5 hrs before I have a meal, and though I feel hungry I tell my self “I can wair”, or “It’s not like I’m going to starve if I don’t eat RIGHT NOW” But I’m not thin, could ‘healthier’ girls have what we call “eating disorders”?

You should always eat when hunger hits you. Waiting can cause you to overeat. Eat small amounts slowly until you are satisfied. “Slow” is the key to not gaining a lot of weight. If you eat slowly, you appitestat will tell you that your appitite has been satisfied. Off course an active lifestyle is necessary. The Japanese are thin because they eat many small meals in between an active lifestyle. The activity works off the calories so they stay thin. Don’t eat a big meal just before going to bed. The calories will stay with you due to inactivity (sleeping). Maintain a healthy diet. (low fat). Cut back on junk foods like McDonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King, KFC, etc. These are ok once in a while, but often, will gain you fat. No it doesn’t sound like an eating disorder. Eating may just be not high on your priority list.
