Question by : Does anyone know of a safe drug to take for depression while you are Breastfeeding?
I am concerned as My doctor prescribed me Prozac as he stated it does not go into breast milk but the information the pharmacist gave states that it does. I don’t want to harm my baby. Are there any suggestions on non-drug remedies. Thanks!

I once looked up “5-HTP” (mentioned on the above Website), and found info that said that –to avoid (I forget what health problem)– it ought to be taken with a certain something else (which I’ve also forgotten). Suposedly in Europe 5-HTP is prescribed *along with* this certain something else, to prevent problems. So, be careful when taking even supplements that have no real history of safe use.
