Question by Scott S: What’s the earliest known recording of a suicide?
By “suicide”, I mean someone killing themselves from anxiety/depression/sadness/sorrow etc. I don’t mean anything matyr-ish.

I don’t think there is one but the earliest written example I can think of is in the play oedipus, although it is fiction. I am sure there is no way of tracing the earliest example of suicide

find the oldest book in the world and see if its written there. next to that can be some cave paintings or similar.
